1. That the following be noted:
1.1 The awarding by the interim Evaluation Committee
of
tender BE18/2006 to supply and deliver the following heavy
road construction plant in the total amount of R3 660 847-
80 to Messrs Barloworld Equipment (Pty) Ltd:
1.1.1 1 x Caterpillar (CAT) 120H Motor Grader R1 295 000-
00
1.1.2 1 x Caterpillar (CAT) 422E 4 x 4 TLB R 481 000-
00
1.1.3 1 x Caterpillar (CAT) 924Gz Loader R 895 000-
00
1.1.4 1 x Caterpillar (CAT) D-323 Excavator R1 198 000-
00

a. The following delivery dates of the heavy road
construction plant:
1.2.1 Fourteen (14) weeks in respect of the Caterpillar
(CAT) Grader 120H
i. Seven (7) weeks in respect of the Caterpillar
(CAT) TLB -422E
ii. Ex stock after confirmation of receipt of the
order by Messrs Barloworld Equipment in respect of the
Caterpillar (CAT) Loader 924GZ and the Caterpillar (CAT)
Excavator D-323.
1.3 All claims made by Messrs Barloworld Equipment in
terms of the Supply Chain Management Policy, which was
included in the tender document, be verified before orders
are placed.
1.4 The functionality was taken into consideration and
the package deal is collectively the best option to
Council.
1.5 The recusal of the Municipal Manager and Manager
Engineering Services during the adjudication process.
1.6 The placement of the award on Council's website
COMPILATION OF A VALUATION ROLL
The tender for the compilation of a valuation roll for the
Emnambithi/Ladysmith Municipal area (KZ232) in compliance
with the Local Government Property Rates Act, 2004 (Act.
no. 6 of 2004) for the financial year ending on 1 July
2008 has been awarded to:
C B RICHARD ELLIS MASS APPRAISAL SERVICES (PTY) LTD
in the amount of R7 918 750-00 (Seven million nine hundred
and eigtheen thousand seven hundred and fifty Rand.
